OEM Cable Manufacturers — Custom Wire & Cable Assembly Solutions for Global OEM Programs

Ouketech is an OEM cable manufacturer building custom cable assemblies, wire harnesses and specialty cables to client drawings, specs and certifications.

OEM Cable Manufacturers — Built to Your Drawing, Spec and Certification

Ouketech is a build-to-print OEM cable manufacturer for industrial, automotive, medical, energy and electronics brands worldwide. We do not push catalog parts. Every cable, every harness, every box build is engineered against your bill of materials, your test plan and your end-use environment. From a single hand-built prototype to multi-million-piece annual programs, the part number on the label is yours — the manufacturing risk is ours.
Our customers come to us when off-the-shelf wire is not good enough: tighter tolerances, higher temperature ratings, custom connector pinouts, regional certifications, traceable lot control. That is the full scope of what an OEM cable program should deliver, and that is the only kind of work our factory does.

What OEM Cable Manufacturing Actually Means

The term OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) cable describes a wire or cable assembly designed and produced for a specific piece of equipment, instead of being sold as a generic stocked item. It carries the equipment maker’s part number, fits one defined enclosure or mating connector, and must pass that customer’s incoming inspection — not a generic distributor spec sheet.A real OEM cable supplier owns four things end-to-end:
  • Engineering — drawing review, DFM (design for manufacturability), connector and contact selection, electrical and mechanical simulation when needed.
  • Component sourcing — direct authorised channels for connectors (Molex, JST, TE, Amphenol, Deutsch, Hirose, JAE), wire (UL, CSA, MIL-Spec, RoHS, REACH compliant), shielding and jacketing materials.
  • Process control — automated cut-strip-crimp, ultrasonic and resistance welding, overmolding, potting, braiding, taping, IDC and IPC-620 assembly.
  • Test & traceability — 100% electrical continuity, hi-pot, hipot, pull-force, vision inspection, lot-level traceability and serialised reports.
Ouketech delivers all four under one roof. No outsourced harnessing, no hidden brokers in the wire supply chain.

Core Custom Cable Products We Manufacture

Each of the product families below is a standing capability, built daily on our floor. Configurations are driven by your drawing — gauge, conductor count, shielding, jacket compound, length tolerance, connector and overmold.

01

Custom Cable Assemblies

Single-ended, double-ended and breakout configurations using discrete or molded connectors. Common families include circular (M8 / M12 / M16, MIL-DTL-38999), rectangular (D-Sub, IDC), board-to-board, board-to-wire and panel mount. Overmolded strain relief is available in PVC, TPE, TPU, PUR or silicone.

02

Multi-branch harnesses with breakouts, conduits, split loom, braided sleeving, heat-shrink labels and laser-marked legends. Built per IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 2 or Class 3. Typical use cases: machine cabinets, robotic arms, vehicle dashboards, agricultural equipment, energy storage racks.

03

Custom battery interconnects, busbar-to-cable transitions, copper lug terminations, ring and fork terminals, in 2 AWG to 28 AWG. Used in BESS, e-mobility, forklifts, telecom backup and industrial UPS systems.

04

PTFE, FEP, silicone-jacketed, high-flex robotic cables, drag-chain rated cables, halogen-free / low-smoke (LSZH), coiled and retractable cables, twisted-pair and individually shielded multi-pair constructions for noisy environments.

Industries We Serve

OEM programs only work when the supplier truly understands the standard the cable will be tested against. Our active industry verticals:

ISO 13485 aligned assemblies for monitors, imaging, dental and surgical platforms.

engine bay harnesses, infotainment looms, FAKRA RF, high-voltage orange-jacket EV cables, charging gun assemblies.

drag-chain cables, M12 sensor leads, servo and encoder cables, control panel harnesses.

patch cords, copper interconnects, cabinet harnesses

Consumer electronics & appliances

 internal harnesses, USB-C, lightning-style, audio/video cable assemblies.

MIL-Spec wire, MIL-DTL-38999 circular, shielded twisted-pair for EMI-sensitive systems.

patch cords, copper interconnects, cabinet harnesses

Energy & renewables

solar string cables, BESS interconnects, wind nacelle harnesses.
Telecom & data center — patch cords, copper interconnects, cabinet harnesses.

Rail locomotive harnesses, on-board communication cables, brake system wiring, metro signal cables

A predictable program is more valuable than a cheap quote. Our standard workflow keeps cost, lead time and quality visible from day one.

  1. Inquiry & NDA — drawings, samples or competitor part numbers received under signed NDA.
  2. DFM review — engineering returns notes on connectors, gauge, tolerance, testability and cost drivers within 3–5 working days.
  3. Quote & sample — formal quotation with tooling, MOQ and lead time. Golden samples produced for first-article approval.
  4. PPAP / FAI — first article inspection report, dimensional, electrical and visual data per ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 conventions where required.
  5. Mass production — released against your forecast; we hold safety stock on long-lead components.
  6. 100% electrical test — every assembly passes continuity, hi-pot and pull-force where applicable, with traceable serial numbers.
  7. LogisticsEXW, FOB, CIF or DDP. Direct-to-line packaging, kanban and VMI programs supported.

Quality Standards and Compliance

OEM buyers do not just buy a cable — they buy a documented compliance trail. Ouketech operates against the standards your auditors will look for:
  • ISO 9001:2015 quality management
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship for cable and wire harness assemblies
  • ISO 13485 aligned processes for medical assemblies
  • IATF 16949 aligned processes for automotive harnesses
  • UL, CSA, VDE, CE, RoHS, REACH, Prop 65 material compliance
  • ESD-controlled stations for sensitive electronic assemblies
  • Full PPAP documentation packages (Levels 1–5 on request)
Components are traceable from spool to shipment. Lot codes, date codes and operator IDs are recorded for every assembly.
  • True custom, not relabeled stock. Drawings drive the build. Standard parts only enter the BOM if you ask for them.
  • Engineering on the line, not behind a wall. Process and design engineers sit beside production, so DFM feedback is real and fast.
  • Vertical integration. In-house cut-strip-crimp, overmolding, braiding, soldering, testing and final pack — fewer hand-offs, tighter quality.
  • Flexible volumes. From 50-piece prototypes to 500,000-piece annual orders without changing supplier.
  • Global logistics. Direct shipping to North America, EU, UK, ANZ, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, with local customs experience.
  • Long-life programs. Many of our OEM customers have been on the same active part numbers for 8+ years — that is the kind of stability OEM procurement teams need.
